	RM-BARE Frequently Ask Questions

	I’m considering buying the RM-BARE. What shooting functions are available?
	All of your cameras functions are available, as long as you have a LANC input and the function is electronically driven. The rule of thumb is; anything that can be selected or operated electronically can be operated by the RM-BARE remotely.

	… What about the plain version without the case? DV Control only offers the “nice” version. I need a couple for inboard cameras in race cars and would build my own case. I only care for “rec”, “stop” and one light.
	We also have the RM-S, it’s a simple LANC with power on/off, record and stop functions only. It’s perfect for people who just need the basic functions in a compact case. Our clients have used it for skydiving, mountain biking and scuba diving so far.

	Where can I get a right angle 2.5mm adapter? I need to use this for a hidden cam application and the straight plug won’t work.
	Visit our accessories page and purchase the "Right Angle Plug and Cable" and adopt it to your needs. (voids warrenty)

	… possibly interested in retrofitting my Steadicam JR handle with the “Electronic Version” of the RM-BARE. All I need is record on/off and Zoom. Can you install the remote into my steadicam?
	Sorry we don’t do custom installations, but many of our clients have been quite successful installing the RM-E into joysticks, Jibs, Cranes, Helmets, etc.

	… I may be interested in purchasing several of the remote units if you can verify they can control Sony Camcorders at a range of 75’ – 100’. How do the 25’ cables connect together?
	We have tested the RM line of products up to 80’ with no problems. They simply connect mail to female, and 25’ lengths are available, just click on our accessories tab.

	Warranty The RM line of products are warranted for the period of (12) months from the original date of purchase, against defective materials and workmanship.

	Yes, just purchase an RCA Y adaptor at your local electronics store and use two people to operate two controllers connected to one camcorder.
